It's been a busy number of weeks with an ice storm, snow storms, and Christmas. Shrewsbury got hit hard with the ice storm; we lost power for a few days. We were lucky, many people were without for much longer. Kenna was happy about it though, as we got an extra trip to see Grammy in CT. It was too cold to stay in the house. The following week we got a number of inches of snow and again, Kenna was very excited, this time about all the SNOW! Christmas was very nice and Kenna enjoyed the holiday activities tremendously. We took the train in with her and cousin Isabel to Rockefeller Center the day after Christmas. It was so crowed but she loved the train ride in and the light show at Grand Central Station. But by far, her favorite activity was chasing the pigeons around at St. Patrick's Cathedral. She didn't give a hoot about the big tree!

Great Pumpkin Fest at the Ecotarium

The rain held off for the Great Pumpkin Fest at the Ecotarium. Kenna had a great time. We did the hayride and trainrides but what she loved most was this person dressed up as a parrot. We spent most of our time looking for the parrot! They had hundreds of carved pumpkins, I wish we could have stayed until sunset to see them all lit up - maybe next year!

Happy Halloween!!

We are definitely in Halloween mode! Kenna and I made two Halloween gingerbread houses, one for Kenna and one as a gift. Kenna actually sat with me for a few HOURS and helped "glue" many pieces of candy onto the houses and in the pumpkin patch gardens as she called them. They came out really cute.

We went to our first Halloween party of the season. Brooke (Sadhya's mom) had a great party for a few friends. Alexis was Curious George, Sadhya was Minnie Mouse and Kenna was a witch. Kenna tried on her costume for days before the party and wanted to take a nap in it! She is definitely into the holiday season.

Hayride and apple picking!

Kenna has a new favorite friend, Louie the donkey. A local nursery opened up a petting zoo and a visit to see Louie and these big, plastic cows is a definite favorite for Kenna to do these days!!

We went we for a hayride and apple picking at Tougas Farm today with her friend Sadhya.

Elmo's Green Thumb show

Elmo's Green Thumb was Kenna's first show. I think she really enjoyed it!

Kenna had her face painted at a street art show. The entire painting didn't last long enough for us to get home and take pictures but here are a few with most of the butterfly painting!
